Flax Egg - How to make it?!

You can use flax eggs for any bakery products that call for eggs! Flax Eggs are a great substitute for baked goods such as pancakes or cake. The gluey consistency is similar to egg whites which helps for binding ingredients together. Additionally, flax eggs have some fiber which you won’t find in chicken's eggs.



Flax Egg Ingredients

Flax egg is an easy egg substitute that only requires two ingredients.

  • Ground Flax Seed - Flax seeds have some great health and nutritional benefits; they are high in Omega-3 fatty acids, have protein and fiber.

  • Water - In combination with ground flax seed, the water forms a sticky consistency.


Flax Egg Tips

  • Mixture - To make a flax egg, mix one tablespoon of ground flax seed with three tablespoons of water.

  • Thicken - Set your 'egg' aside in order to let it thicken.



Ingredients

Easy - 1 'egg' - 20 minutes
  • 1 tbsp Ground Flax seed

  • 3 tbsp Water


Instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients together and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes to set and thicken.

  2. Tadaaa - There you have an easy egg substitute.
